Love the idea of providing starter knives to a recent grad and a botanical garden membership for a dad!

Those birthstone rings are so pretty! I wonder if I could even get one in kiddo's size so we could have matching...

Love that idea! And as far as the sizing goes, Caitlyn Minimalist lists the smallest size as 3.5, which is in kid territory (though maybe not a preschooler). I also love this as a kids jewelry gift because of the price point. Not the end of the world if it ends up getting lost. https://go.shopmy.us/p-15779281

THIS IS SO GOOD!!!! I LOVE YOUR PICKS!!! So thoughtful and lovely. I appreciate how you break out mom and dad but they don't feel particularly gendered in the way a lot of guides are. I love how you have the botanical gardens on here. That's such a special activity for everyone. Really good ideas for grads, too. And you know how I feel about Jenni Kayne!! <3

Thank you!! And I'm really glad you noticed/felt that re: gendered. I *detest* how reductive visions of fatherhood get in gift guides. Plenty of dads don't drink, grill, or golf!

These are such great, thoughtful ideas!!! These events honestly always make me nervous (that I'm not getting something they want) but I feel like anyone would love these.

Oh thank you!! While I actually LOVE spending a lot of time and energy planning gifts, I totally get the anxiety — especially if you're getting something a bit pricey.

Exactly! I feel the same way about kids gifts…or newborn baby gifts.

For sure. With buying for babies, I am a staunch shop-the-registry supporter. My go-to is to get something from the registry and add something small and more personal like a favorite kids book... Maybe i should do an article about this...
