100% agree about Bodies are Cool. I wasn’t prepared for how many times she would ask for this one.

Right? I think the rhyming in this book is elite. And the illustrations are so rich— there’s always something new to find and look at closely

We have been reading this book in my house for years and with each age we find new things to notice about how cool bodies are!

This feels weird to put in a comment but maybe it will benefit more people but if you want that amazing Big Night tablecloth (I have the napkins and am obsessed), you can use the code Alexis10 to get 10% off! I feel firmly about always having real napkins but feel like the next frontier for me is moving into tablecloths when it's not the holidays.

Oh nice! Totally cool to share the code. Yeah we are tablecloths 100% of meals, including meals served on the small snack table (I use a thin lightweight towel). I never used one casually before having a kid, and now I don’t think I’ll go back. Cleanup is so much better with one

Green rice! So excited to try that (even as a childless adult who does love eating her greens...) - eBay has so many tablecloths! I've found some beautiful embroidered floral ones on there. (I usually select for 'vintage' and 'ships from US' to weed out the dropshippers)

I am so intimidated by how big eBay is, but I should definitely do some digging!! And I think you will *love* this rice. So so good!!!

I want to be a tablecloth person. I am on the lookout for some good stain/spill proof tablecloths that don’t break the bank and aren’t that awful shiny material 😂

In our house, the trick to avoiding picky eating is eating early. My kid will eat pretty much anything if we catch him in a good mood. Once 730 rolls around, he’s tired from school / running around and He. Does. Not. Want. That!! How dare you even offer his favorite food!

None of my tablecloths are stainproof; but I have some that are fully machine washable and pretty busy/patterned so I just don't mind that much if they do end up permanently stained. I think of the tablecloths I have as split into 2 categories: Everyday/messy foods/don't care if they get stained and Nicer/special occasion/will send out to dry cleaning once in a while.

And so true! If you can make eating early work for your family, it can be a great way to try new foods. And if early dinners aren't possible, trying new foods at breakfast can be fun for toddlers!

I should note that I’m in Spain and everyone here considers dinner before 8pm VERY early 😂

Those kitchen scissors are the best! And I definitely need more tablecloths (though my table is a lost cause at this point).

Joy and whimsy are valid reasons to get tablecloths!

I remember when the first of my high school friends had a kid, we went to dinner there and watched said kid STAB the table repeatedly with a fork. Definitely an argument in favor of tablecloths!

whaaaaatttt but also, this is exactly why feeding toddlers is easier with tablecloths!

they were living with parents at the time & it was a FANCY shiny table, too. We immediately opted for a VERY weathered and rustic table for those years...
